kireka SDA primary school is situated on kireka hill, 1 km from kireka Town which is 8km along kampala-Jinja road. the school started in 1934 as a missionary school. the first building stood opposite the present upper nile press. this building was formerly residential house for some workers on the gum tree (pala) plantation previousely owned by an indian farmer. when the mission bought this land, this building was not demolished.
